Love Always Wins

god is love

Time and time again God shows up in ways that I never thought imaginable! God is in circumstances, successes, triumphs and people!

I've recently overcome an affliction that I've struggled with for the past year and thankfully God makes no mistakes. God is faithful and oh so loving; guiding me every step of the way.

As a Catholic (meaning universal faith) anytime I tell others that I am Catholic, they instantly put me in a box. A box that they have all figured out as to who a Catholic is from their own experiences or beliefs; causing me to feel as though I must conform to the views/beliefs of others.

Well I must say that love wins! Love is the most essential piece of my relationship with Christ. I am a daughter of God and all that flows through me comes from God. I stand in God's love and remain empowered by all the events that have lead me here. The place where I can firmly declare that God is love and therefore so am I!

Therefore since I am a vessel of God, those around me will feel the love that God provides. A love that spreads and brings peace. A love that serves others. Especially those I am judged for serving.

I remain prayerful that every single one of my past, current and future clients feel the love that God provides. I pray that I can be a vessel and testament to the type of love that God is. I constantly sit in prayer over many scriptures and find myself truly devoted in this calling to love and serve people no matter what!

10 Be devoted to one another in love. Honor one another above yourselves. 11 Never be lacking in zeal, but keep your spiritual fervor, serving the Lord. 12 Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer. 13 Share with the Lord’s people who are in need. Practice hospitality.
— Romans 12:10-12

When God made it apparent that he wanted me to serve in the wedding industry, I sat in prayer throughout 2018 and God revealed Romans 12 to me; Romans 12:10-15 spoke out the most to me! It was such a profound moment that I went as far as adding it to our mission statement. Not only is it a reminder to serve others but it serves as a great reference in marriage and the love that couples display between one another.

It serves as a daily reminder to be loving and respectful towards others. To serve and show hospitality! To share God's love with others. To never think of myself as higher than anyone else. I stand firm in my identity in Christ and choose to remain joyful in hope, patient in my affliction and faithful in prayer. I choose to devote myself to those around me and respect their humanity! God makes no mistakes and I know that every couple we work with was sent for a reason and will hopefully experience the love of Christ! I was called to love and serve ALL because love is the most important gift that God gave us!

As in 1 John 4:8 "Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love."

Other bible verses that inspire me to love and serve all:

  • "We love because He first loved us." 1 John 4:19

  • "And so we know and rely on the love God has for us. God is love. Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God in them." 1 John 4:16

  • "My command is this: Love each other as I have loved you." John 15:12
