Guys, let’s talk about Acrylic!

Specifically clear acrylic for wedding decor.

I mean wow! Guys, clear acrylic is so versatile! I started laser cutting my handlettered calligraphy out of cardboard and slowly graduated to wood when I could afford it!

After a year of laser cutting wood, the demand for acrylic wedding signs became more apparent. I was hesitant as I knew little to nothing about acrylic but as a life long learner I’m up for any challenge!

It’s crazy to think of how much calligraphy has introduced to my life! I seriously would’ve never believed someone years ago had they told me I’d be a business owner. I thought I’d always be a Math teacher! If you’re thinking of starting a business with calligraphy go read our blog!

Here’s why I love clear acrylic

1. Artwork transfer is 100% possible!

You can pre-sketch your artwork on a piece of paper and when you’re ready you can place the clear acrylic above the artwork and trace it! Our favorite pen to use on clear acrylic is a Sharpie Oil based pen but you can also use Posca markers or the newest Karin Deco Brush Pens!

2. The back is totally DIY-able!

Coloring the back of Acrylic has been such a pleasure! From brush strokes, to shapes and even transforming it into a whole new color; it’s all attainable!

3. Smooth laser engraving and cutting

Laser cutting and engraving clear acylic is a whole other story! Mixing laser cutting capabilities with graphic design skills makes for custom one of a kind artwork that last forever!

I created an entire line of clear acrylic products just for the perfect DIY project

I was inspired by calligraphy friends I made along the way as they asked me questions about the laser! Many calligraphers wanted a laser for the purpose of cutting their own table numbers and acrylic signs to write on! So hey, why not provide all my fellow calligraphy friends with the tools they need to make their job more creative!
